March is Women’s History Month
Thirty-one years ago, Congress passed a resolution in the United States designating March as Women’s History Month. Then President Jimmy Carter said, “Understanding the true history of our country will help us to comprehend the need for full equality under the law for all our people.” That sentiment holds true today. Throughout this month as we celebrate Women’s History Month in the U.S. and the U.K., and International Women’s Day, March 8, we’ll be introducing you to Junior League women leading the way on issues critical to a healthy society on our social media platforms.
Follow #womenshistorymonth #JLWomen on social media this month to learn about what the Junior League is doing to aid gender parity.
