October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth.  According to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime.  Join us throughout the month as we share information and resources about this important issue: https://www.ajli.org/?nd=p-do-comm-ip-dom-violence.

The @NationalCoalitionAgainstDomesticViolence estimates that 20 people experience intimate partner physical violence every minute in the United States. That’s about 10 million abuse victims annually.

Trained advocates are available at the @NationalDomesticViolenceHotline 24/7 to talk confidentially with anyone in the United States experiencing domestic violence, seeking resources or information, or questioning unhealthy aspects of their relationship.
